Critical For Picnic or Backyard Weddings

I know, the last thing you want to think about at your summer outdoor wedding is BUGS! But one way to keep your guests comfortable is to provide buckets set around the perimeter filled with bug repellents. Yes, I know, you love your perfume and the bug spray is yucky at best but it beats being eaten alive by assorted bugs as you enjoy your best friend's wedding and reception.

Pick up some shepherd's crooks at your local hardware store or garden supply store, decorate them with ribbon streamers, and fill some small metal buckets with some of Avon's best bug repellents.

Check with your favorite Avon Rep (that would be me) at my Avon website at http://nancyvecchione.avonrepresentative.com and order yourself some bug repellent.  Don't forget to pick up some great body wash for when you head back to the hotel to wash off the bug repellent smell! Avon also sells an anti-itch spray that you could provide for your guests just in case they are bitten.

Avocado Strawberry Salad Recipe for Weddings or Bridal Showers

Avocado Strawberry Salad is a great salad to serve either at a shower or a wedding.   Easy to make, and great taste!  Recipe from: Bill Lombardo and Thach Bui, and The Washington Post Writers Group.  This recipe only serves four, so you'll need to change to amounts for a greater number of salads.

Fans for Your Wedding Day

Photos and products courtesy of: http://www.daisy-days.com

Fans are used for a variety of reasons during a wedding, some act as wedding reception menus, some as a program of for your wedding ceremony, and some just to keep cool on those warmer days in the sun for outdoor weddings or for churches that aren't air conditioned. There are some beautiful ready made fans but also some that are great DIY projects. Find the fan with the look and purpose you want or make your own. We did some for my daughter's wedding, it was an easy DIY project mostly requiring time, not complex at all or needing fancy equipment.
